Grading System/Minimum Grade Requirement:

Below is an explanation of how the Empower RES Learning Management System (LMS) works and monitors student progress. There is no “make-up” work policy, and coursework must be completed before taking the final exam. For real estate pre-license, there is a final exam requirement after all lessons are completed. Students must pass the exam with an 80% in order to receive credit for the course.

Empower RES will maintain students’ school records, including exam scores, for four years at the minimum, as required due to policy and standards.

Signed Student Affidavit

Empower RES requires all students to certify that they have personally completed each module of a distance learning course and that any written exercise or assessment is required to complete the course. Therefore, all students must provide an electronically signed Student Affidavit to the school before scheduling any course examination and before the school may certify their completion of any course. The school will not process your course completion without a signed Affidavit and Course Evaluation form. This form is available online, and students will electronically submit it to the school when they have completed all required modules of the course. This form will appear on the student’s course homepage once they have completed the course lessons.

In order for Empower RES to certify that a student has completed a course, they must:

Complete all instructional lessons in the course

Submit a signed and dated Student Affidavit

Pass the required course final examination

Complete a signed course Evaluation

Submit a completed copy of the Licensing Process and Deadlines form to the school.

Course Completion Records:

Empower RES will electronically enter course credits with the Alabama Real Estate Commission and issue Completion Certificates.

Students can contact Tech Support at the number provided throughout the course and inside the LMS. Their hours of operation are M- F: 9:00 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST. Email support is available during normal business hours, and all emails received after will receive a reply in the order in which they were received. Before calling, students need to be prepared to explain their problems in detail and have access to their computers. In order to effectively troubleshoot a student’s issue, our technicians begin the call by asking you a series of questions regarding the issues a student may be experiencing. Our team of experts will ask what kind of device you may be using to help with troubleshooting. Please be advised that all calls may be subject to being documented or monitored to help us maintain quality of service standards.
